Born and raised in a small town in Texas, Sommer was taught from a young age to appreciate the great outdoors. Having been introduced to whitetail hunting at age 7 by her father, she soon fell in love with and had natural talent for the sport. Now married with three children and over 25 years of hunting under her belt, she continues to make outdoor activities a staple for family fun and adventure. During off-season and when she’s not in the stand you can find her and her family fishing, SCUBA diving, target practicing, annihilating wild hogs, developing feed plots, or relaxing on a sandy beach. She is a member of NRA Women, National Wild Turkey Federation's Women in the Outdoors, and the Boone and Crockett Club. With extensive outdoor experience in the field and on the water, she is proud and excited to introduce her innovative and interactive outdoor educational material to the next generation of wildlife conservationists.
